Where to stay in Tulum

We’re visiting Tulum now

Tulum opens next. We’re walking the beaches and meeting owners; leave your email and we’ll tell you when the first homes are listed.

Staying in Tulum

Tulum’s beach road runs south from the ruins into the Sian Ka’an reserve, lined with small hotels and villas that sit on the sand. It is the centre of Mexico’s retreat scene. There is no surf to speak of, but the water is warm and calm most of the year. Fly into Tulum (TQO) or Cancún (CUN, about 1 h 45).

For owners

Own a home on the sand? Keep more of every booking.

Vrbo now takes 12% from every host. We feature a small number of genuinely oceanfront homes, and build owners their own direct-booking site, so repeat guests book with you, not a platform.
